About the Role

Silicon Valley’s top AI companies work with Mercor to find domain experts who can help train and evaluate their models. We’re seeking an exceptional Sales Strategy & Operations hire to drive critical initiatives that support Mercor’s next phase of growth. As the first member of the Sales Strategy & Operations team at Mercor, you will be responsible for standardizing our GTM efforts across major accounts, starting our deal desk function, and owning our CRM stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the first Business Operations hire, owning our deal desk, CRM stack, and sales operations
  • Build and manage the deal desk process supporting pricing strategy, approvals, quoting, and contract workflows for high-value, technical customers
  • Design, deploy, and refine CRM workflows (HubSpot or equivalent), ensuring data integrity, visibility, and forecasting accuracy across GTM teams
  • Partner with leadership to build dashboards and reporting infrastructure that surface pipeline insights, operational bottlenecks, and revenue drivers
  • Create compelling materials for strategic presentations and partnerships
  • Lay the foundation for a scalable BizOps org by documenting processes and building durable systems as the business grows rapidly

What Are We Looking For?

  • 2–6+ years of experience in Consulting, Finance, BizOps, or internal strategy roles at a startups
  • Proven ability to build and own a deal desk function, CRM systems, revenue processes from the ground up
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, comfort working with technical teams
  • Highly proactive, execution-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity in high-growth environments
  • Very good with Google Sheets and optionally Slides

Compensation

  • Base cash comp from $150K-$200K
  • Generous equity grant
  • A $20K relocation bonus (if moving to the Bay Area)
