1. Role Overview Mercor is partnering with a leading AI organization to engage credentialed finance professionals for a project focused on improving the financial reasoning of AI systems. This flexible, contract-based engagement involves evaluating financial scenarios, verifying figures and rules, and refining model outputs.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated outputs across a range of finance topics
- Verify figures and rules against authoritative sources, including quantitative checks
- Assess financial reasoning and provide structured feedback on model performance
- Collaborate with researchers to assess and improve model performance
3. Ideal Qualifications
- U.S.-based finance professional with a recognized credential — CPA, EA, CFP, or CFA (in good standing where applicable)
- 2+ years in a substantive finance role (tax, financial planning, analysis, IB/PE, or advisory)
- Demonstrated ability to verify figures and rules against authoritative sources, including basic quantitative checks
- Strong quantitative verification — able to independently recompute a stated figure
- Comfort checking rules in unfamiliar systems against official sources

Contract and Payment Terms
- You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
- This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.

- Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
- Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
